This package offers an exhilarating experience for those looking to conquer Africa’s tallest peak, starting with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You’ll be warmly greeted by our driver, who will transfer you to Springlands Hotel. At the hotel, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal and attend a pre-trekking briefing led by our experienced coordinators, preparing you for the adventure ahead. The trek begins in Moshi and takes you through the stunning landscapes of Kilimanjaro, starting in the dense rainforest and progressing to higher altitudes as you make your way toward the summit. Each day, you’ll acclimatize at various camps while our team ensures your safety and comfort.
The ultimate highlight of the trek is the ascent to Uhuru Peak, where you’ll stand at the highest point in Africa. After achieving this incredible feat, the descent offers a chance to take in the diverse scenery one last time. Upon completing the trek, you’ll return to Springlands Hotel for a well-deserved rest. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our dedicated driver will be waiting for you, holding a sign with your name for a warm welcome. You will then enjoy a seamless transfer to the enchanting Springlands Hotel.
At the hotel, a delicious meal will be served, followed by a pre-trekking briefing from our experienced mountain coordinators and your guide. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about the wonders that await you in your upcoming expedition. Enjoy the relaxing environment of Springlands Hotel, which features a swimming pool, beautiful gardens, a bar, and a restaurant.
Day 2: Moshi to Marangu Gate / Mandara Hut
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a 1-hour drive to the Marangu Gate. At the gate, you’ll complete the necessary registration formalities before beginning your trek through the lush rainforest. The trail to Mandara Hut, your first camp, involves a steady uphill hike, where you might spot monkeys and other wildlife.
Upon arrival at Mandara, you’ll be greeted with a warm meal and comfortable accommodations in A-frame huts. In the evening, you have the option to take a short acclimatization hike to Maundi Crater, which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 3: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

The 6-hour trek to Horombo Hut offers stunning views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks along the way. In the evening, your guide will provide a briefing for the next day’s trek, ensuring you are well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
Today’s trek takes you across the expansive lunar desert known as the “Saddle,” a barren and rugged landscape that stretches between Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. Although the terrain is stark, the views of the towering peaks on either side are awe-inspiring.
This hike will take approximately 6 hours, allowing ample time to take in the vastness of the landscape. Upon arriving at Kibo Hut, you’ll settle in for an early dinner and rest, conserving your energy for the upcoming summit attempt. In the evening, your guide will provide a detailed briefing to prepare you for the final ascent, which will begin just before midnight.

Hiking Time: 5-6 hours
Day 5: Kibo Hut / Summit Attempt / Horombo Hut
Around midnight, you’ll be awakened to begin the final ascent toward Uhuru Peak. The journey to Gillman’s Point, at 5,685 meters, is steep and strenuous, typically taking around six hours of steady climbing. This challenging section will test your endurance, but your guide will be there to support you along the way.
Once you reach Gillman’s Point, you’ll traverse the crater rim toward Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. If the weather permits, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise over the continent. After celebrating your incredible achievement at the summit, you’ll descend to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing onward to Horombo Hut for the night.

Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate / Return to Moshi
After breakfast, you’ll start your descent through the diverse moorland and lush rainforest zones, making your way back to Marangu Gate. As you trek downward, take in the final views of the landscape and reflect on your accomplishment.
Upon reaching the gate, you’ll receive your well-deserved summit certificate as a testament to your achievement. From there, you’ll be driven back to Springlands Hotel in Moshi, where a hot meal, refreshing shower, and comfortable bed await.
